Fun at Jellyrolls
When I was a child I thought Pleasure Island was the hippest place on earth. I couldn't wait until I was of age to go by myself. Turns out, it wasn't really in the cards. On my College Program I was only 19 and could only go into certain clubs. I never got to have an alcoholic beverage in PI. (I don't count the many beverages I've consumed at Raglan Road) I also never got to experience it in its glory days.
However, shortly after my 21st birthday, I discovered a place that would always hold a special place in my heart. Jellyrolls at Disney's BoardWalk Inn.
I've never been a club person but I love live music. Jellyrolls is a 21 and older dueling piano bar. Sounds boring? It isn't. The very brilliant pianists will play absolutely anything. (It helps if you bring your request up with a tip!) They play mostly sing-along songs that everybody knows and enjoys.
There is usually a $10 cover charge and the drinks are plentiful but pricey. This never bothered me. As a New Yorker I am used to pricey drinks and a cover charge. What you get for your money, however, is an entertaining experience and a quality venue.
Jellyrolls is one of the many reasons why I love the Epcot Resort Area, especially for adults. Not only are you in walking distance to Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios, but you have wonderful entertainment each night at Jellyrolls. You also have amazing restaurants at each of the resorts. I have spent many amazing nights at Jellyrolls and have a lot of great memories there.
Have you been to Jellyrolls? What are your thoughts?
